The Coffee & Music Connection

The Coffee & Music Connection

Hello friend... and welcome back to the ahem SIX STRING RESERVE COFFEE blog. I'll brew you a story of how all this happened. Well...

God has definitely blessed my family, despite facing hardship and loss in 2025. Sometimes it feels like it entered 2026 with us. But God is still there. Wait! Don't leave yet. I'm not getting sappy on you. Just sharing an outlook

So my wife and I were talking about doing something, something fun and easy on the wallet, and that at least one of us enjoys. We saw this coffee opportunity, we thought about it, prayed about it, and jumped in. Now I didn't know if we would name the coffee or not. So we listed company names, and agreed upon Acoustic Coffee Co.

WE INTERRUPT THIS BLOG TO BRING YOU BREAKING NEWS. THAT 'OTHER' NAME WE HAD WAS FLAGGED FOR POTENTIAL TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT. ALWAYS SOMETHING IN OUR LIVES, EH?? OUR NEW NAME IS SIX STRING RESERVE COFFEE. WE NOW RETURN YOU TO THE CURRENT BLOG....

... Six String Reserve Coffee to 'blend' with my music. Then we began tossing out names for the coffees, themselves. We had a list created, with anticipation. Turns out we were not naming the individual coffees. But to help you understand where we were in this new journey, and so you can appreciate the work that goes into starting this new hobby before it went "live", here's the thought process and how we came up with the name(s) and logo.

I came up with the name, connecting it to my music and style. Americana, Beach Music, Coffee House, Country, Jimmy Buffett … it’s been called many styles, written by yours truly.  The logo was created to reflect my ‘other’ logo, from my music side. We placed the guitar … well, my daughter placed the guitar horizontal, added the text and the established date. So that brings us to the coffee names. I came up with these. Here’s the list, so you might think of this as you shop, purchase, and enjoy your coffee at home.

The Coffee Names: Breakfast Roast is Acoustic;  Medium Roast is Tremelo; Dark Roast is String Bender; Columbian is Reverb; Espresso is Amplified; Decaffeinated is Unplugged. And all flavors would be an extension of the Acoustic brand. More plainly, all light and flavored roasts are ‘acoustic’, regular roasts are ‘tremelo’, dark roasts are ‘string bender’, Colombian blends are ‘reverb’, espresso is ‘electrified’, and any decaf is ‘unplugged’.

So shop, buy, and try. I like it. But as I said in the first blog, we are all not alike. I hope you enjoy your cuppa, and this blog, as well as the future blogs.

peace,

-dR
